New Vectorworks Book by Kazushi Fukuda Available

Nemetschek Vectorworks has announced a brand new training book for Japanese language Vectorworks users. The book title is “Vectorworks Architect, BIM Basic Master for Residential Design,” and is written by Kazushi Fukuda, and published by SHUWA SYSTEM CO., LTD.

The new book offers an introduction to BIM and modeling in Vectorworks Architect software and provides an easy-to-understand, practical explanation of the building information modeling process. It does this by taking the reader through a case study of a two-story wooden house, the most popular style of Japanese residence, and demonstrates the efficiency and convenience of a BIM workflow.

Siemens Intros Parasolid V26.1

Version V26.1 introduces new enhancements in the world’s most popular modeling geometry kernel. Areas of focus include high-level modeling functionality aimed at supporting many areas where end users may encounter complex geometric configurations in their daily work. These include new features for Hole Filling and Sweeping, new Blending capabilities and  general Model Editing feature improvements.

Khronos Group at GDC Conference

Next week the Game Developers Conference will be taking place in San Francisco and the Khronos Group–shepherds of key graphics industry standards such as OpenGL, OpenGL ES, WebGL and WebCL–will be there planning to make several important announcements in a planned press conference.
