Apple WWDC set for June 10-14 – new iOS and OS X operating systems in the works

[Edit. note: We have corrected the ticket date to tomorrow, not today, specifically 25 April 2013.]

Apple has formerly announced the date for its upcoming Apple Worldwide Developers Conference for 10-14 June 2013. The invitation and announcement page says that tickets go on sale tomorrow and are priced at 1,599.USD and can be purchased from the each country’s Apple Online Store.

To attend WWDC 2013 you must be a member of the Apple iOS Developer Program, iOS Developer Enterprise Program or the Mac Developer Program. Developers who are ages 13-17 must have their ticket purchased by their parent or guardian who is an eligible member.

Mac OS X 10.9 Floating About

A preview of OS X is clearly on table for WWDC this June but we are likely to find a new version of the Mac operating system ready for use shortly after this summer. Architosh’s own web logs are showing small appearances of OS X 10.9, so small they need to be searched using our Google Analytics tool but they are nonetheless there. They first started in March of this year. Over at AppleInsider they first saw signs of 10.9 back in October of last year and saw dramatic changes in their web logs starting in January.

01 - Apple's upcoming 2013 WWDC tagline is "The wait is almost over."

Along with previews of major updates to both iOS and OS X, we are hoping here at Architosh that there will be shown at new Mac Pro as well. Earlier in the year CEO Tim Cook spoke of a new Mac Pro coming this year, a major update for the workstation unit that hasn’t seen a major update in design in about a decade.
