As of 6 Feb 2013, individuals and small teams working on Macs and producing 2D/3D files, visual effects, video and more can download TACTIC TEAM for free and start using it to manage files, tasks, projects and workflows. Every feature in the most recent Windows version of TACTIC TEAM (v3.9) is now also supported on Mac OS X. Since TACTIC TEAM is open source, individuals and teams can download the software and start using it for free.

Its founders are veteran CG industry guys who working very close to Alias/Wavefront’s original home location–Toronto, Canada–decided to found a company dedicated to creating a powerful asset management system that met the needs of CG studios. Their solution has since been recognized to materialize benefits beyond media and entertainment product studios and now includes advertising agencies and corporate marketing departments in consumer product companies, aerospace companies and other organizations with extensive 2D/3D digital files.
