Power On Software's Planner for Macintosh, due Q4 2000

Architosh inquired about the availability of a strong cross-platform planner application for enterprise workgroups and small businesses on the Macintosh and PC platforms. According to a rep at Power On Software, Planner for Macintosh is coming to a Macintosh near you in the forth quarter (it is currently in beta):

"I am being told that Planner for the Mac should be ready sometime in Q4. When it is released, I think it will be a terrific product for those needing a cross-platform solution. As for Palm sync capabilities, Planner for Windows already has this feature. The Mac side however does not. I know it is a feature that will be in both platforms eventually. I do not know if this will be in time for the release of the Mac version this fall."

This is great news! Power On Software has done a terrific job of taking over Now Up-to-Date and Now Contact and the latest release of both (v.3.9.2) supports Palm OS synchronizing as well. However, Now Planner has been a Windows-only application for the recent time being. Those businesses looking for strong cross-platform support for work group planning should seriously consider Planner for Macintosh.
