OpenGL-based Lightworks now supports Linux

LightWork Design Ltd, yesterday announced that its industry-leading photorealistic rendering product, LightWorks, is now available on the Linux operating system.

Support of LightWorks on Linux is a major part of LightWork Design's commitment to providing its customers with cross-platform toolkit solutions to their end-users' needs. The release of LightWorks on Linux is of particular interest to LightWork Design's customers who are providing innovative ASP and 'pay-per-render' visualization solutions to 3D design markets. LightWorks is the worldwide leading solution for 3D rendering, in use by over 500,000 end-users, within more than 80 3D applications. A majority of the leading CAD vendors have licensed LightWorks, to provide their end-users with the highest-performing rendering solution. The new LightWorks Linux release supports the version of Linux from Red Hat Software Inc.
