launches VectorWorks training seminars
Nemetschek North America Launches Training
Seminars in United States and Canada
According to a press release this week:
Nemetschek North America
announced the launch of its Professional Learning Series
in 18 cities throughout the United States and Canada. The traveling
seminars are scheduled to begin in September and will offer comprehensive,
hands-on training in state-of-the-art computer labs. The Professional
Learning Series includes three unique seminars, each directed toward
users with differing abilities and needs. All cities will feature
an Introduction to VectorWorks while select cities will also feature
Advanced VectorWorks or VectorWorksâ 3D Concepts seminars. Nemetschek
N.A. is hosting this training series in cooperation with In Medias
Res, a Canadian-based training/consulting company.
The Series
The Introduction to VectorWorks focuses
on: basic object creation techniques; using the Attributes Palette;
mastering snap constraints; effectively using layers, classes and
saved sheets; creating and using symbols; managing a symbol library;
using the Resources Palette and Object Browser; effectively using
wall tools; creating and modifying dimensions and dimension standards;
creating and applying hatches; program setup and preferences and
practical and simple project templates.
Advanced VectorWorks covers: using
workgroup referencing to share drawings across a project team; linking
drawing objects to a database; creating spreadsheets to measure,
counting and summarizing drawing objects; automating drawing production
with custom tool scripts; file translation between VectorWorks and
Autocad; importing and exporting graphic file formats and powerful
methods of organizing drawing files.
VectorWorksâ 3D Concepts consists
of: techniques for 3D object creation; using specialized hybrid
tools for walls; floors and roofs; using 3D viewing tools, including
flyovers and walkthroughs; practical layer and class setup for 3D
models; producing 3D models using layer linking feature; effective
methods for lighting a model; maximizing rendering performance;
creating and applying lifelike textures and shaders; creating a
digital terrain model; producing high quality printed output; creating
QuickTimeú animations and 3D tips and tricks.
The Professional Learning Series will visit Toronto, New York,
Chicago, Victoria, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Calgary, Philadelphia,
Seattle, Washington DC, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Los Angeles, Houston,
Detroit, Denver, Portland and Cleveland. The seminars begin in September
