Lenovo has launched two new value-oriented workstations this week, coinciding with NVIDIA’s GTC22 virtual conference. One of their new products—named “Tiny”—is the world’s smallest true workstation computer.
ThinkStation P360
The new duo of workstations is “value-oriented” desktop computers for industries like AEC, manufacturing, media and entertainment, and science and medicine. They are also aimed at frequency-bound 3D applications—ie: single-core dominant applications.
These new workstations are also aimed at data scientists and practitioners of artificial intelligence (AI) working on smaller-sized projects and datasets.
Tech Inside
Lenovo’s new ThinkStation P360 Tower and ThinkStation P360 Tiny include 12th-generation Intel processors and support up to NVIDIA RTX A5000 GPUs. The P360 Tower is up to 58 percent faster than the previous generation model and comes at a desktop price. The P360 Tower chassis now sports a 750W power supply, 4x PCIe Gen 4 slots, plus robust I/O.
Lenovo’s new ThinkStation P360 Tiny is the industry’s smallest desktop workstation at less than one liter in volume and offers uncompromising performance in a small form factor (SFF) that is 96 percent smaller than a traditional desktop computer.
The P360 Tiny sports the NVIDIA T1000 GPU, boasting a speedup of 47 percent faster than the previous NVIDIA generation GPU. It also features RAID storage configuration options and Intel WiFi 6e standard for connectivity.
Availability and Pricing
The P360 family continues Lenovo’s commitment to environmental sustainability, utilizing post-consumer recycled materials in the systems and their packaging, as well as important certifications like Energy Star and EPEAT Gold. The Lenovo ThinkStation P360 Tower and Tiny will be available in April, starting at USD 1,249.00 and USD 1,149.00, respectively.
