Architosh’s 34th Xpresso Newsletter Published

Architosh this past Sunday published its 34th edition of its emTech (emerging technologies) focused CAD industry newsletter. The free monthly newsletter focuses on coverage of emTech topics like algorithms-aided design (AAD), DfMA (design for manufacturing and assembly), robotics and automation in AEC, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, AR, VR, XR technologies, and computational design in BIM (CDiB)—zero visual scripting solutions for computational design, among others.

The Current Issue

The current issue focuses on BIM topics with this issue’s special feature dedicated to IMAGINiT Technologies’ Clarity server for Autodesk Revit. Other BIM topics cover critical articles about the state of BIM technology published elsewhere, including an excellent NXT-BDL session.

Xpresso 34 focuses on BIM topics in addition to computational design, and 2022 technology and markets predictions.

Computational design news runs through Grasshopper and Dynamo updates, and there is a focus on 2022 predictions in technology, markets, and media.

Recent Issues

Recent issues have started to become “thematic” where we cluster content around themes or topics. Xpresso 33 was focused on infrastructure industry items, including the Biden Administration’s passed infrastructure act bill. An issue (No. 32) was focused on coverage of the fall lineup of AEC and 3D industry tech events, including Autodesk University and NVIDIA GTC. Xpresso 31 focused on semiconductors (chips).

Xpresso includes every month a ‘special feature’ article—often the most engaging and important content we aim to publish on Architosh in the near future. This content reaches the Xpresso audience often weeks or months ahead of Architosh.

In issue 31, our special feature titled, “Chip Technology, Geopolitics, and the CAD Industry” is planned for mid-December. A somewhat history-centered piece, the semiconductor feature is similar in depth to Xpresso 28’s special feature titled, “The Evolving Immersive Experience (VR/AR/XR),” which ran later on Architosh.

Thirty Four Issues

As we approach our 35th issue of Xpresso in early January (to be published Jan 9), we look forward to adapting Xpresso each month to make it better.

To take at look at some of the content prior to signing up for the newsletter, we can recommend a preview in our web-versions in our archive. We recommend Xpresso 28 as a starting point. All readers will enjoy this in depth feature on “The Evolving Immersive Experience (VR/AR/XR).”
