McNeel’s Rhino 7 has recently been updated to support native Apple Silicon M1 chip support for all macOS Big Sur 11.3 and higher computers. This is exciting news for those in AEC and MCAD spaces who are on the macOS platform, particularly as it opens up the use of Apple’s latest computers to the leading computational design software platform.

There is a list of known bugs for Rhino on Apple Silicon which McNeel has posted here. So far only one bug has been reported regarding rendering performance.

MultiPipe is a new powerful command in Rhino 7.

The MultiPipe technology also works in Grasshopper allowing for the creation of fascinating models. We look forward to seeing how Rhino 7 users tap into the power of the MultiPipe commands.
