A reflection of their market strength and popularity in the United Kingdom, GRAPHISOFT has announced that its ARCHICAD has won in the Construction Computing Awards in the “BIM Product of the Year” category—again—for six consecutive years.
And Company of the Year Too
GRAPHISOFT UK also took home the award for Company of the Year as well, at the eleventh annual event from Construction Computing Magazine Awards gala.
The British magazine’s annual awards in the UK are much respected within the building industry as they seek to recognize real innovations powering users’ workflows. There are few awards dedicated to information technologies in the construction industry, and ‘The Hammers’ are regarded as reflecting actual user experiences with IT solutions. They nominated and voted on by industry-wide users.
“We are pleased and proud that ARCHICAD continues to be recognized by our users and readers alike in this annual competition,” said Akos Pfemeter, Vice President of Marketing, GRAPHISOFT. “Our year-on-year success in these awards underscores the value designers attach to the extensive, regular enhancements we make to ARCHICAD,” he added.
Additionally to the above awards, ARCHICAD user firm Bond Bryan Digital, won “BIM Project of the Year” for the East Dormitory project, a collaboration with Bill East, author of the COBie standard. East and Bond Bryan Digital have worked together before and have been co-authoring a book to demonstrate the practical application of the COBie standard. This award follows Bond Bryan’s success in the same category in 2015.
“We are delighted to win an award for a project that was designed to help the industry understand COBie from a practical point of view,” said Rob Jackson, Associate Director, Bond Bryan Digital. “To win such a prestigious award against such tough competition two years in a row is a fantastic achievement for the team!”
