Today Apple pulled out perhaps the mother of all upgrades for those with 9.7 inch iPads. They introduced the new 9.7 inch iPad Pro.
Of course, while this device was anticipated after rumors broke a few weeks ago, what is nearly impossible to anticipate are what applications (apps) Apple may use to showcase their latest hardware. For this Apple event, Apple chose to focus quite a bit on an app for architecture.
Mr. Pro, Meet Mr. Pro
Architects and designers have been salivating over Apple’s first iPad Pro, introduced six months ago, due in no small measure to its amazing combination of performance and new Apple Pencil. But many architects carry their iPad around in one hand on the construction site, something the much larger first iPad Pro made a bit difficult. Today’s new 9.7 iPad Pro solves this dilemma.
One of the most popular mobile apps that architects use in the field this way is Graphisoft’s BIMx Pro, an app heavily featured in both the actual keynote and the product feature film for the new, smaller iPad Pro. BIMx Pro is a professional software tool with a lot of power and is perfect for the new iPad Pro. BIMx Pro can already quickly visually spin around, navigate, and “live section” amazingly large building models on iPad devices.
