ARCHICAD contest inspires students to design Thailand’s most popular businesses

GRAPHISOFT announced the ArchiCAD Design & Skill Contest winner. The contest was held in Thailand for successful architectural students on July 15 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center: BITEC.

Eighty-three designs from 18 universities were submitted in a two-round competition entitled “Small coffee shop of your own style.” The objective of the contest was to give university students the opportunity to show their knowledge, creativity and architectural skills before becoming professional architects. The contest theme was chosen because coffee shops are currently the most popular businesses in Thailand and are the dream of many people.

This project also supported and provided the fundamental knowledge of how to work with BIM – an important basic tool for working in the industrial construction field when using ArchiCAD. In addition to the above-mentioned objective, this contest offered the opportunity to develop a brilliant idea and design that can be potentially used in the real world.
