Event News: Guide to using AIA Contract Documents and Software In-Person

Developing contract documents can be time consuming and confusing, so having the right tools and knowledge to develop iron-clad contracts can make the process more efficient and protect assets better.

Throughout the course participants will learn the importance of having written contracts in place and the potential dangers in operating without them. The workshop will also explore the contractual relationship between the various construction parties and how contracts define the responsibility, authority and expectations of each to become familiar with the key features of commonly used AIA contract documents.

Live demonstrations of the latest version of AIA Contract Documents Software to discover the key features that will save time, money, and keep projects organized will be part of the course too. Information on how the software helps users complete forms, such as change order and payment applications by importing data and performing calculations will also be taught.

The course will include small group of work, continental breakfast and lunch, and a tour of the Octagon House. Attendees are asked to bring their laptop with AIA Contract Documents software if possible. To register, click here.
