Autodesk’s July update to Fusion 360 adds many new features

The July product update is available for download! This update is focused on maturing their fabrication workflows with Turning.

Added the ability to create tool paths for programming singe turret lathes. ( IS )

Added the ability to modify equations that drive parameters/defaults in an operation.

Improved load time for cloud libraries.

Added New “Make” pane in toolbar providing access to fabrication tools.

02 – New “Make” pane in the toolbar provides access to new fabrication tools.

These new fabrication tools provide Easier Access to 3D Printing, Britehub Quoting Service and new Protolabs’ Quoting Service.

Improvements in other areas include:

Team Collaboration

Added notification that will appear when design uploads have completed

Made it easier to create designs from STEP, IGES, and SAT

Added more data management options in the data panel such as:

Model

Added the following new features:

03 – Chordal fillet

04 – Two rail sweep ( IS )

New Scene Settings tool combines control for Environment, Background, Ground and Camera.

05 – Chordal Fillet

New features in Scene Settings include:

Standardize environments across all render targets (Local render, cloud render and mobile 3D viewer)

Option added in Graphics preferences to turn on retina support for customers who are using retina monitors.
