Tidbits: Vray for Mac Modo plus Vectorworks training news

Mac version of V-ray Renderer for modo – Public Beta

3D users on the Mac platform love the award-winning modo product by The Foundry (previously Luxology but acquired by The Foundry) as a complete modeling, rendering and animating 3D software suite. Now users of modo on the Mac have a public beta for V-ray of modo available to them for those who love the V-ray rendering engine.

V-ray for modo for Mac includes the fast V-ray SSS2 and V-ray skin shader, as well as the advanced hair shader, lighting and shading, vector displacement, water level displacement, V-ray car painter shader, distributed rendering, advanced GI, depth of field (DoF), V-ray Ptex texture, progressive rendering, replicators and motion blur, replicators with proxies, motion blur, advanced V-ray frame buffer, V-ray RT,

You can check all cool features listed above in the video shown here. As you can read from some of the reaction to the video on YouTube, this news is quite positive for the 3D community and Vray community in particular.

Vectorworks Training Sessions Coming

Vectorworks training is coming to New York City in April. Learning Tree International is hosting Vectorworks training sessions between Tuesday, 14 April – Friday, 17 April, 2015.

These hands-on training sessions consists of two-day core concepts and two days of intermediate concepts or bundles of both (with savings). Each two-day session costs $750.USD or users can combine both the core and intermediate sessions for four days at $1,250.USD.
