e-on software has shared that their popular line of digital nature 3D software, Vue series products, was used in the hit TV show Spartacus.
e-on software has posted a complete write up on the use of Vue in Spartacus. They had the privilege of talking to the show’s VFX Art Director, Peter Baustaedter and Jean-Baptiste Verdier, the team’s VFX matte painter.
The TV series follows the story of Spartacus, a Thracian gladiator, who was one of the slave leaders in the Third Servile War, a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic.
In the final season of (now through 4 seasons) there were 4,350 VFX shots and in the epic 53 minute series finale there were nearly 1000 VFX shots alone.
Vue 2014 is the latest release of the popular digital nature 3D software program series, which works with a range of full-featured 3D software modeling, rendering and animation packages and in stand-alone versions.
Vue helps 3D artists create and manage extensive digital nature, working with millions of plant instances and hundreds or thousand of trees and plants, in addition to comprehensive state of the art atmospheric features for skies and the sun.
