Chaos Group releases V-Ray 2.0 for Rhino

Although this isn’t a Mac product yet until Rhino for Mac supports third-party extensions, the latest news from Bulgaria-based Chaos Group is the new release of V-Ray 2.0 for Rhino. For starters V-Ray 2.0 for Rhino is now up to 30x faster for V-Ray RT performance, V-Ray Express Tools and HDR Light Studio live connection with Light Paint. This latest update is available now for Rhino versions 4 and 5. The update is free for current V-Ray 1.5 for Rhino license holders. Suggested retail price is 690.EUR or 960.USD. MagicPlan now on Android

While  MagicPlan has been available on Apple’s iOS since 2011, Sensopia has recently announced that version 3.2 is now available for Android.

“MagicPlan 3.0 has been the version we have been targeting for release on Android,” says Pierre Gaubil, CEO of Sensopia. “Developing MagicPlan on Android has presented a unique challenge, due to the fact that our software leverages all of the hardware in each device so specifically, unlike any other product on the market.”

You can learn more about MagicPlan on their website: www.sensopia.com

Architosh Analysis

Sensopia’s CEO’s comments about Android express, though subtly, the complexity inherent in developing for the Android platform because the platform is much more open than iOS but presents the software developer with myriad more choices in targeting many more types of devices running several different flavors of Android. The company acknowledges its iOS users submit more than 20,000 plans online each day. It shall be interesting to see if MagicPlan on Android contributes substantially to this number in the months ahead.
