Graphisoft finished November with some good news. The company’s industry-leading BIM program ArchiCAD 17 has won the prestigious BIM Product of the Year award for the third straight year at the eight annual Construction Computing Magazine Awards in the United Kingdom.
In addition, the company’s new breathtaking BIMx Docs took home the award for Mobile Technology of the Year for the second year in a row.
The Hammers
Construction Computing Magazine’s annual awards are affectionately known as ‘The Hammers’ and they showcase and make aware innovative technology, tools and solutions useful for effective design, construction, maintenance and modification of structures and civil engineering projects of all sizes.
Over 200 industry guests gathered recently in London to see the outcome of the readers’ on-line voting and judging panel’s deliberations. “It’s always great to receive awards but these, coming from users’ and readers’ votes, show how strongly ArchiCAD and BIMx are valued,” said Akos Pfemeter, Vice President of Marketing, Graphisoft.

Architosh Analysis
We are not at all surprised to learn that BIMx Docs in particular took this honor this year. At ABX Boston 2013 this past November, we got a chance to see the new BIMx Docs in person and to play with it at the Graphisoft booth at the large AEC show in Boston. The product is quite stunning with its intelligent hyper linking technology and the visual navigation between documents and model views and vice versa.
