Architosh introduces
new Mac-centric 3D/CAD Store, featuring ICS CAD Superstore
CAMBRIDGE, MA -- 5 October, 2001. Today Architosh is introducing
a new Architosh e-Store
within its site, prominently featuring the ICS
CAD & Graphics Store inside, with direct links to online
store facilities where users can purchase hundreds of software,
hardware and support products for CAD/3D and AEC professionals directly
from Integrated CADD Services (ICS) of Cambridge, Massachusetts,
a prominent Apple CAD VAR in the Northeastern section of the US.
First Apple Macintosh CAD/3D-focused Online Store on the Net
Architosh's e-Store uniquely comprises a combination of online
store partnership arrangements and associations, including the Apple
Store, ICS
Online Store, and associated store links through Amazon, FatBrain
and others.
"Our
goal with the new in-site e-Store facilities is to provide a CAD/3D
industry-focused online shopping experience for our professional
Macintosh readers", says site founder and editor, Anthony
Frausto-Robledo. "With the addition of the ICS Store we will
be able to bring literally hundreds of supportive products to
the Macintosh CAD/3D community."
"We
are excited about our association with Architosh, and are looking
forward to bringing a great selection of products to the readers
of this industry leading web site." remarks ICS President
Greg Conyngham, AIA. "With the recent introduction of Mac
OS X (10.1) we plan on adding more to our online store and will
be making special offers available to Architosh readers."
The Pro vs Home Matrix - Reinforcing Apple's Marketing Strategies
The new
Architosh e-Store is structured to directly reflect Apple's
vision of the Mac as
the preferred Hub of a new Digital Lifestyle. Just
like the brick-and-mortar
Apple Stores coming to malls across America, the Architosh e-Store
divides products into Pro and Home sections, with
the Home section containing the same four focus areas: Music, Movies,
Photo and Kids.
"In
a very literal way, our online e-Store
buttresses Apple's argument that the personal computer is evolving
into a hub for our digital lives", says site founder Anthony
Frausto-Robledo, "and CAD and 3D professionals like architects
are some the biggest users of digital still and video cameras."
"With
our Home section, we wanted to give our readers organized access
to many of same products found in the new Apple Stores",
says Susan Hopper, managing partner of Architosh.
The Pro section is what makes the Architosh e-Store special,
adding industry-focused sections like CAD/3D, PDA and the ICS Store.
In addition, the Pro section contains detailed
guides on building the ultimate Macintosh
CAD/3D Workstation and guides on Apple Macintosh servers.
"For
the first time on the Net, it is now possible to research and
build-to-order a Macintosh CAD/3D workstation, purchase an HP
Plotter to go with it, and purchase all the digital lifestyle
products that make a Mac really shine, all from the same place
on the Net, all from Architosh.com." says Anthony Frausto-Robledo,
site founder and editor.
The ICS Store: A Value-Add to Architosh as a Portal
Nearly fifty percent of Architosh's readers are architects working
on the Macintosh around the world. The remaining readers are other
CAD and 3D professionals who all need access to quality products
to support their work. The ICS Store features top brands in the
CAD and 3D fields. Here's just a sampling:
HP
DesignJet, LaCie, Canon, Epson, Iomega, SNAP, FormZ, Asante, etc.
With an ICS Store now being featured inside Architosh, readers
will have continuous access to specials, plotter supplies, other
papers and media and CAD and 3D software, including numerous ArchiCAD
products and add-ons.
Visit the ICS Store
inside now.
