Vectorworks, Inc. Announces English Version of New Vectorworks 2017 BIM Software Product Line

Vectorworks, Inc. today has announced the latest version of its line of BIM/CAD software for the AEC and entertainment design industries. The new releases include Vectorworks Fundamentals 2017, Vectorworks Architect 2017, Vectorworks Landmark 2017, Vectorworks Spotlight 2017 and Vectorworks Designer 2017. Renderworks is no longer a separate product but included in the Vectorworks product line.

The news today includes items that were made public back in the spring at the Design Summit event in Chicago but also include items previously unknown the to the public. A key feature only announced today includes Vectorworks’ ability to import native Revit files, exposing Vectorworks BIM workflows to hundreds of thousands of top-tier global manufacturer’s 3D product data.

Another pivotal surprise feature is the new data visualization tools which enable a type of graphical override capability through Viewports that give specific graphical attributes to elements based on data associated with them.

01 – Vectorworks 2017 now features data visualization capabilities that enable the viewing of discreet aspects of building information in informed, highlighted and custom ways using graphical attributes attached to data rules.

Availability

The English-language version of Vectorworks 2017 software is available to Vectorworks Service Select customers today by download. Shipping of the English-language version to all other customers begins on September 19, 2016.
