Autodesk has updated its computational design software tool, Dynamo, to version 1.1.
The latest update is an incremental one but features what the company has called a “truckload of bug fixes, a few new features, and some ‘experimental’ tools.”

In terms of the experimental technology now included in version 1.1, Autodesk has exposed the T-Splines modeling technology to enable new organic and free form geometry creation tools. For who may not recall, T-Splines was an exciting new small software company with some PhD level wizardry involved and Autodesk acquired them several years ago now.
Autodesk says there are now approximately 150 new nodes that are a subset of the existing geometry library. These new nodes provide new functionality that offer a wide range of capabilities to create and edit T-Spline surfaces and also to convert to and from NURBS and meshes.

Other new features include the ability to export the workspace as an image. This will allow you to send those node link images around to stakeholders, colleagues, to marketing or perhaps to someone you just simply want to impress! The cool thing is you can zoom into these images no matter how big your graph is.
Autodesk has also made some minor changes to node names to address nodes that seem to have the same functionality and no differentiation. You can learn more about all these changes here.
