Berlin-based 3YOURMIND offers intelligent 3D printing solutions for industry and architecture. The company has recently secured a second financing round in which Dr. Hans J. Langer, founder and CEO of EOS GmbH, positioned himself as the new lead investor in the firm.
The company developers 3D printing plugins for CAD programs and the latest edition is Vectorworks 2016.

This is the first dedicated 3D printing plugin for Vectorworks that we are aware of, and checking the company’s software add-on page supports this. Though the VisualCAD-MILL package for Vectorworks has existed for some time, milling and 3D printing are different but related technologies.
Vectorworks is a superb general 3D modeling package with Parasolid at its core, yet the company arguably doesn’t garner the attention it deserves in the market for its 3D modeling power. This might explain why it has taken so long for somebody in the market to create a dedicated 3D plugin for the software. A more likely reason however is that Vectorworks—despite once having a focused MCAD product—no longer has focused interest in the mechanical design CAD market where rapid prototyping via 3D printers is popular.
