Trimble has recently released the new SketchUp 2016 product line, featuring SketchUp Pro 2016, SketchUp Make 2016 and an updated SketchUp Viewer, a free application for Mac and Windows that enables folks, like clients, to view models simply.

SketchUp and V-Ray 2.0
The Chaos Group has announced that the new SketchUp 2016 and V-Ray 2.0 now play nice together. Chaos Group has updated V-Ray 2.0 for SketchUp and includes updates to animation and batch rendering, along with support for Skatter and ArchVision RPCs.

Autodesk University 2015 Starts this Week
Autodesk University 2015 begins this week and runs from 1 – 3 December 2015. Architosh’s senior associated editor, Pete Evans, AIA, will be at the show in Las Vegas and will be meeting with Autodesk executives to learn about all the new announcements, as well as attending press-only events and meeting numerous other companies exhibiting at the company’s show.
Architosh will be covering lots of AU 2015 news this week, as we have already been alerted to numerous upcoming announcements.
Live Streaming Events
If you couldn’t make it to Autodesk University this year you can catch a lot of the action (and news on this site) here where you will find live streaming sessions. CEO Carl Bass’ opening keynote will be streamed live and then shown on replay shortly after (tomorrow).
There are class channels featuring Dynamo and Revit, a connection Autodesk is strengthening as advanced BIM users are utilizing algorithmic modeling more and more. Dynamo is a tool meant to compete against McNeel’s popular Grasshopper product. There are many other streamed classes to take as well so do check out the list here.
