Graphisoft, the leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software developer for architects and designers, will present ‘OPEN BIM in Practice’ at the third annual Revit Technology Conference (RTC) Europe 2015 event, October 29 – 31, in Budapest, Hungary.
RTC Europe 2015
RTC is the design, technology and construction industry event of the year, designed to cater to the needs of the BIM community. A conference for users and by users, RTC is the pre-eminent educational and networking opportunity for BIM users worldwide. It is dedicated to the use of BIM tools, processes and workflows and associated software in the architecture, engineering and construction industries.
01- Graphisoft will be participating at RTC Europe 2015 in Budapest later this month, focusing on the advantages to the OPEN BIM message.
Ákos Rechtorisz, Graphisoft Product Manager for Interoperability, will engage the conference participants during Session 2.3 on the benefits of OPEN BIM. In addition, as a Gold Sponsor of RTC Europe, Graphisoft Vice President for Marketing, Ákos Pfemeter, will host the PechaKucha event on Saturday, October 31, Session 3.5. The topic of this year’s PechaKucha competition is “Collaboration.”

Architosh Analysis
The roster of participants in Revit Technology Conferences is diverse and does involve interoperability topics extending beyond peripheral Revit focuses. OPEN BIM however is a bigger and broader interoperability mandate than most, so it is good to see Graphisoft participating at RTC Europe 2015 to spread the OPEN BIM gospel, sort of speak. And particularly since it’s in its backyard.
Beyond the sessions listed above, I noticed one other ArchiCAD-related session at RTC Europe this year, session 2.1 – ArchiCAD – A Revit User’s Perspective. Rodd Perey will discuss weaknesses of both BIM platforms as well as interoperability between ArchiCAD and Revit. There is a focus on instructing on the “main capabilities and strengths of ArchiCAD” in this session.
