OrthoGraph version 10 offers new features in mobile building surveys

Hungarian-based OrthoGraph, a mobile app maker situated along the Danube River in beautiful Graphisoft Park, has recently announced the new OrthoGraph 10.0 version of their namesake mobile application for the AEC and related industries.

The company reports that until recently they had several stability problems caused by their previous graphical engine. To solve these problems they have completely replaced the graphical engine with a new strong and much more stable one. As a result the stability of OrthoGraph has drastically increased.

New Retina Display Support

The new graphical engine allows OrthoGraph 10.0 to support Apple’s Retina Display based devices, both in 2D and 3D.

In the interest of making the process of learning how to use OrthoGraph, the company has created a new tutorial and first steps content. This new help and tutorial material aids the user in grasping the logic of OrthoGraph’s way of creating floor plans. The company says the help content is going to continuously develop—even without app updates. They advise users to keep checking back with the help.

01 – The new OrthoGraph 10.0 uses a new graphical engine, supports Apple Retina Displays and includes new IFC export capacities. It also features new tutorials, seen here.

OrthoGraph 10.0 also has IFC (industry foundation classes) improvements. The IFC export now supports all wall openings, not just as “holes in walls” but also placing them down graphically in 2D and 3D with all their parameters.
