solidThinking INSPIRE 2014 is officially released for Mac and Windows

solidThinking, Inc., has announced that solidThinking INSPIRE 2014 is officially released and available worldwide through their dealer channel. Trial versions are also fully available from the company’s website.

In the latest version solidThinking INSPIRE 2014 adds multiple new enhancements including Geometry Simplification tools, Smoothing options, Linear Static Analysis and Concentrated Mass Parts.

When a user brings a part design, say, into INSPIRE 2014, the new Geometry Simplification tools can remove imprints, rounds, fillets, holes and pockets. This helps the user get to the process of creating a simplified mass part needed for the analysis work in solidThinking INSPIRE 2014.

01 – solidThinking INSPIRE 2014 offers industrial designers and structural engineers unique mass reduction tools for creating a more sustainable world.

Once users start studying parts using the analytical processes in INSPIRE 2014, they have the option of evaluating concepts with maximum stiffness or minimum mass. This happens in the concept generation stage. With the new Analysis tools for static analysis INSPIRE 2014 offers user sliders that interactively demonstrate the strength of parts in real time graphically. (see image below)

While solidThinking INSPIRE 2014 seems aimed at industrial design engineering (parts design in particular) the tool also serves civil and structural engineers as well as architects in need of exploring advanced concepts in structures in early stage analytics.
