Sensopia and its popular and unique app MagicPlan has announced their latest release—version 4.0. Sensopia says this is a major release for the iOS app with many new features. Sensopia says that version 4.0 culminates more than 30 man years of development, and the product they envisioned when they started the company 4 years ago.
Sensopia, which is based out of Montreal and San Francisco, represents a disruptive way to collect, organize, navigate and share indoor data. MagicPlan automates the capture of room measurements taken in less than 30 seconds, and success can be obtained on the first try using the product. “When we began building MagicPlan four years ago, 4.0 is what we wanted to do,” says Pierre Gaubil, CEO of Sensopia. “We have significantly improved our capture functionality with the ability to aim at ceiling corners.”
In addition to the new ceiling related capture technology, MagicPlan 4.0 has improved accuracy to a minimum of 95 percent. A new, one-step calibration process makes this all possible. For 100 percent accuracy, MagicPlan can connect to Bluetooth low energy laser devices from Leica and Bosh.
Additionally, a new, free sharing feature is included in this release. Now all MagicPlan users may freely share and send their inside maps to other MagicPlan users with just one tap. Sharing is possible between all iOS and Android devices. “We will leverage the sharing feature a lot, as it will enable our sales people to share their plans with their clients in one tap. Transferring between devices will also simplify our process,” says Dan Smith, Director at Access Energy.
