Autodesk introduced the new Smoke 2015 at NAB 2014 this spring. The product was a popular draw on the NAB show floor, with its new support for the new Mac Mac Pro and better interoperability with Apple’s Final Cut Pro X.
Now Autodesk Smoke 2015 Desktop Subscription is available today. The company officially made the product available through subscription late last week.
Smoke 2015 adds new effects tools, 3D tracking, support for Mavericks (OS X v 10.9) and the aforementioned hardware support for the new Mac Pro and interoperability improvements for Final Cut Pro X.
“The integration of the timeline editor, the visual effects tools, and some familiar desktop tools in one environment made Smoke both remarkably familiar and an entirely new experience for me,” said Rich Anderson, senior video editor at Team Detroit.
