2014 FileMaker Developer Conference Opens

FileMaker, a subsidiary of Apple, will be showcasing learning the secrets of FileMaker 13, including its new FileMaker WebDirect technology and solutions for iOS, Mac, Windows and the Web at its upcoming conference.

Registration for the database developer conference opened on 23 Jan 2014. The conference itself takes place 28-31 July 2014 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa, in San Antonio, Texas.

The conference is for anyone who wants to sharpen their professional skills, innovate with the FileMaker Platform, pick up new ideas for their FileMaker solutions, or to grow a FileMaker-based businesses.

Conference attendees can save $300 off the full price, paying only $1,295 by taking advantage of the “early bird” discount available now through June 3, 2014. Paid attendees will also receive a free Not-for-Resale copy of FileMaker Pro 13 Advanced, a $549 value.

Also available is an “early bird” Gold Registration package for $1,895, which includes admission to a full day of three two-hour pre-conference sessions on July 28 as well as all the benefits of the Standard Registration package. The pre-conference sessions give attendees a jump-start on the week, by offering instruction on fundamental topics such as relational design, calculations, and scripting for beginners.

In Brief, the German 3D components company Dosch has a new CD-ROM product titled “Tree Library for Maya & Softimage.” The product contains fully textured 3D models of trees in the Maya and Softimage native file format.
