Several localized versions of the Vectorworks 2014 line of design software have been released this week. There are now versions available for natives languages in Portugal, Norway, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Benelux region.
“Our strong network of distributors makes it possible for us to meet the needs of designers around the world on a local, personalized level,” said Stewart Rom, Chief Marketing Officer of Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc. “We value close relationships, and many of the improvements in this new version of Vectorworks software are the direct result of feedback from our users. We’re particularly excited about the new patent-pending X-ray Select technology and an innovative new visualization engine with fast interactive rendering.”
About Vectorworks 2014
The recent release of Vectorworks 2014 products contains some exciting new features and upgrades to existing ones. While there are over 130 new improvements, including many to its BIM tools for architects, many of the most exciting features are fundamental to entire software line, principal among them the new graphics architecture underlying the entire product. Known as VGM or Vectorworks Graphics Module, the company completely wrote its own custom OpenGL rendering engine rather than adopting an available kernel in the industry.
