HP grows DesignJet T-series with new T2500 eMultifunction printer

T2500 Details

The new T2500 brings customer-driven innovations to the line-up in a multi-function device, highly reflective of the new workflow demands being affected by mobile and the cloud. The new DesignJet T2500 scans, copies and prints serving AEC and geographic (GIS) firms as well as government agencies and enterprise customers.

Scanning larger format color documents is one of the most sought after tasks in AEC driven workflows in particular, which often still contain numerous hand drawings, sketches and older drawings. It is also valuable to scan in prints that contain hand-annotated changes.

“We have seen a great shift in how architecture, engineering and construction firms work, evolving from teams operating out of a central location to a rising number of remote workgroups with increased firm-to-firm collaboration,” said Ramon Pastor, vice president and general manager, Large Format Printing, HP. “Extending HP’s new design features to a multifunction device will help improve productivity and enhance all types of working environments.”

Connect to Cloud

HP’s newest DesignJets connect to the cloud with integrated software solutions for mobile devices like Apple’s popular iPad. HP’s DesignJet ePrint & Share is a free web service that makes it easy to access, view and print larger format documents using an Apple iPad device, iPhone, Google Android tablet or smartphone or notebook computer.

You can also access the cloud directly from the T-series ePrinters via the touch screen. The ePrint & Share features mean the unit is web-connected to HPs cloud services and you can automatically save copies of scanned or printed documents directly to the cloud in PDF format for later access and viewing.
