Bluebeam updates Revu for iPad to version 2.0

Bluebeam this month updated its Revu app for iPad to version 2.0. This new release adds several highly requested features, including items such as field measurement verification and more.

New in version 2.0 is the ability to fill out and save PDF AcroForms, a standard way of completing form elements since the early days of PDF specifications. Additionally, there is now a way for scripted calculations to be executed when filling out forms, a highly useful aspect for engineering work in particular via the PDF format.

A major new feature in Revu 2.0 for iPad is the new Calibration, Length, Area, Perimeter and Count measurement tools and commands. These serve the purpose of needing to verify measurements in the field. This includes the ability to view, calibrate and embed scales in PDFs.

The new Scale tools (see screen shot) include a new Magnified viewer feature for measurement annotation precision and adjustment. You can choose to store the scale in the page or not and there is control over orthogonal snapping.
