Architosh will be in attendance in Denver in two weeks at the 2013 AIA National Convention and Exhibition, 19 – 21 June 2013. Annual software in architectural practice editorial coverage will be extensive covering BIM events, expo show coverage and photography, interviews and much more.
2nd Annual ‘BEST of SHOW’ awards
Additionally, Architosh will be reviewing software technologies being shown at the AIA National Convention and Exhibition. This marks the 2nd year Architosh will announce these awards. Editor-in-Chief, Anthony Frausto-Robledo AIA, LEED AP and Senior Associate Editor, Pete Evans AIA, will be determining this year’s winners based on a technology perspective that is shaped annually through a careful review of emerging technology trends and long-term goals for the architectural profession.
Last year Architosh awarded separate ‘BEST in SHOW’ awards in both desktop and mobile categories with announced runner-ups. Both of these categories will repeat this year.
Eligible Products for ‘BEST of SHOW’ Awards 2013
Eligible products in the desktop software category must run on both Mac and Windows platforms within the release awarded. Eligible products for the mobile software category must run on Apple’s iOS platform for iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices. (They may also run on other mobile platforms but this is not required.) Further rules include:
- The awarded product must be expected to ship within 3 months of the date of the show
- The awarded product is now shipping but was not eligible in the prior year due to ship date
We want to emphasize that any products that are planned to ship in 2013 but cannot definitely ship within 3 months of the show will only be eligible for 2014 year awards.
