Braindistrict of Germany has introduced a new 3D application for Mac, Windows and Linux. Called RaySupreme, the modeling and rendering software package features the unique ability to execute some 3D development tasks by simply typing English text.
“The Text-do-3D Engine was developed to allow anyone to create complex 3D scenes using natural English language statements,” reads their press introduction materials. You can modify specific objects simply by describing them with different adjectives. In addition, you can place objects using text statements as well, including objects inside of objects.
RaySupreme Details
RaySupreme runs natively on Mac OS X. It’s user-interface is dark gray and gray and is organized in standard format for most Mac and 3D applications. Key tools are in a toolbar on the far left, 3D workspace windows are in the center and modal palettes and inspectors are on the far right.
What makes RaySupreme unique is its Language Editor that controls the Text-to-3D engine. It is template driven and includes commands for objects, materials and scenes. Users and the developer produce these templates using the Language Editor.
RaySupreme supports standard ways of working with 3D objects and scenes and also includes UV Mapping and UV Painting. Inside the latter you can allocate a particular texture size, paint texture and review results in an OpenGL preview render inside the viewports you are working with. The UV Paint interface features a layer-based system which is similar to other 3D applications.
RaySupreme supports some advanced rendering capabilities including modern ray-tracing, Photon mapping, Final Gather based GI rendering, HDR Light Probes, a procedural sky and atmosphere effects in haze and fog. It is also multi-threaded.
There is render history support with a history browser that lets you review and compare final results and view differences between renders. Pick a render from the history browser and you can then choose it for saving. The program also supports animation and includes camera and motion path tools.
This new RaySupreme retails for 39.99.USD, which is a remarkably low price for any rendering package that supports global illumination rendering. To learn more visit: http://www.braindistrict.com/en/raysupreme
