BIM Camp travels west to Los Angeles

Nemetschek Vectorworks is the co-sponsor and host of the popular BIM Camp event series and it is heading to Los Angeles, California. The event takes place on 1-2 May 2013.

The What

BIM Camp is a one-day event where architects and landscape architects learn the skills they need to successfully implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows into their practice, better understanding how IFC-based standards benefit design teams, create sustainable and high-performing designs and collaborate through Open BIM.

Event Details

The event sponsors include Nemetschek Vectorworks, buildingSMART alliance, Nemetschek Scia, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System, Francois Levy Architect and Author, Synchro, IES, and Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP.  The event is 25.USD and the cost helps fund the Vectorworks Young Architects Student Scholarship.

01 - BIM Camp takes place in Los Angeles, California, and is worth 4 AIA/CES. Plus you get a BIM Survival Kit for free.

BIM Camp teaches the skills architects need to thrive in this new world of BIM. Attendees can earn four AIA/CES/HSW or LA CES PDH for continuing education and will also receive a BIM Survival Kit, loaded with presentation materials and other resources.

Sessions include “Small Green BIM” presented by François Lévy, AIA, AIAA, and author of BIM in Small-Scale Sustainable Design, “Legal Issues in BIM” presented by Candace Matson, Esq. of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP and “Plugging Structural Analysis and Design into the BIM Workflow” presented by Dan Monaghan fromNemetschek Scia.
