Shaderlight version 2.4 now available for SketchUp

ArtVPS Ltd. announced recently that Shaderlight is now at version 2.4. The rendering plugin for the popular SketchUp modeling software application, that runs on both Mac and Windows, can now render faster and more efficiently.

What’s Better about Shaderlight 2.4

The company is touting that the latest 2.4 version delivers dramatic functional and performance improvements. In tests, Shaderlight 2.4 has reduced its memory usage by up to 90 percent. Export and rendering performance when rendering complex components such as trees from 3D Warehouse or using Replace Me functionality is also dramatically better.

Kate Marshall, Marketing Director at ArtVPS said, “We are always looking for ways we can improve the user experience when rendering  with Shaderlight. This latest release which has focusses around the way we use instancing has delivered fantastic results particularly when rendering complex SketchUp scenes.”

Shaderlight Cloud Rendering is also a feature and option for Shaderlight users. It is the first and only SketchUp rendering plugin to harness the power of cloud computing. This version 2.4 update also shows vastly improved export and render times for Shaderlight Cloud Rendering users.

Shaderlight version 2.4 is free for all existing Shaderlight v2 customers. New users can purchase the new release as a full or timed access license from their webstore here. This month the company is offering 25 percent off any full price license using the discount code jan25.
