Graphisoft has introduced its BIMx application for the Android platform. BIMx is an interactive environment with game-like navigation controls that allows anyone to explore full BIM (Building Information Modeling) models without holding a software license of the authoring BIM application.
ArchiCAD users have been able to publish self-running BIMx models on the desktop and on the Apple iPad/iPhone for many months now. The BIMx application provides a link to the BIMx Community for “social” model sharing. The BIMx Community on Facebook is the central hub for sharing interactive 3D building models. Architects holding either a commercial or educational BIMx license can publish their models directly to the BIMx online community.
