FastTrack Schedule Updated
Briefly, AEC Software has announced an update to its recently shipped FastTrack Schedule version 10 (now at 10.0.1). Importantly, the new update allows FastTrack Schedule to open Microsoft Project 2010 files and includes over 30 feature enhancements. The update is free for all current version 10 users. ArchiCAD Sweeps Build Live Tokyo 2010
Graphisoft’s BIM program ArchiCAD has swept the awards in the Build Live Tokyo 2010 Competition. Team Safari Tour, led by Yasuo Ichii and representing the giant general contractor firm Obayashi Corporation, captured Best Project Award by a corporate team.
Both academic and corporate teams competed in creating a new media art center building. Participants had to ensure that the new center would be an exceptional space for people to gather and experience art, nurture creativity among visitors, and function as an exhibit space and research center.
Four of eight the corporate teams and six out of eleven student teams used ArchiCAD for their competition submission. In total 10 teams using ArchiCAD won awards, making this one of the most successful competitions for ArchiCAD users at Build Live Tokyo ever. For the third year in a row an ArchiCAD team took top prize.
