Underlining the growing emphasis and adoption of “building information modeling” (BIM) applications in the AEC market, BIM leader Graphisoft has reported record attendance levels at its international event for distributors, resellers and ISVs (independent software vendors) who gathered in the beautiful German Alps for the 2008 Graphisoft International Partner Conference (IPC).
“The attendance underscores the dual momentum of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Graphisoft as the leader in delivering the technologies that have already helped our clients realize millions of buildings in a model-based workflow,” said Dominic Gallello, CEO of Graphisoft.
At the event third party tools makers showed off applications that expand upon ArchiCAD’s capabilities or inter-operate with it for productivity, building energy analysis, mechanical & structural design and analysis, 3D navigation hardware and stereoscopic display technologies.
The 2008 Graphisoft IPC was capped off with an awards ceremony in which partners were honored for their outstanding achievements in promoting and expanding the use of Graphisoft design technology. Winners included WSC of Poland as Distributor of the Year, Graphisoft West of the United States for Highest Growth for a Reseller and CAD Solutions of Germany for Highest Revenue for a Reseller.
