Harvard's GSD and the Macintosh
Recently a Harvard student wrote in to share with us how the Graduate School of Design uses Macintosh computers, in addition to PC-compatibles. The Harvard GSD is one of the most prestigious schools in the world for architecture, urban design, planning, landscape architecture, and architectural history and theory -- at the graduate and doctoral level. June-Hao Hou, who is at the GSD studying computer technology as it relates to "project web portals" and CAD technology wrote in to tell us this about Macs at the GSD:
June-Hao also mentioned to us about using Mac OS X Server for possible server functions (future?) And then there is the possibility of wireless AirPort technology. Being in the neighborhood, almost literally (BritasMedia is in Cambridge), Architosh hopes to make a visit to the GSD in the near future to learn more about how Macs and PC's live together equally at Harvard. Special Thanks to June-Hao Hou for sharing this with us.
