Oxygen card
supports Cinema Display, Users interested
We have received a few emails regarding mention of 3DLabs
Oxygen GVX420 graphics card now supporting Apple's Cinema Displays
in dual monitor configuration. The mention was in 3D World magazine.
A reader wrote:
I don't know if there is a hardware reason or if it is just a
driver issue but I thought that you would like to know if you
don't already. Perhaps if more people are aware of this card and
request it from 3D Labs that they might consider a port. -- M.

We agree with Mr. Potter (no relation to Henry) on this matter
and have included links below for your use. It should be mentioned
that our Pro Mac 3D User Hardware Request survey includes a question
regarding 3DLabs products and that currently their WildCat card
is the most often cited as needed on the Mac platform. Having 3DLabs
support the Macintosh environment would go a long way to meeting
the needs of workstation-level performance on OS X.
We encourage all you high-performance Mac 3D and CAD users out
there to write to 3DLabs and ask them to support Mac OS X. Since
they have clearly written drivers for Apple's displays, their work
is partly done.
