Architosh Has
Its Mac OS X!
We are happy to announce that we have our first copy of OS X in
hand now! We actually got it yesterday (but we wont nark on the
vendor who sold it to us too early). We will have a Titanium PowerBook
G4 500 MHz with 256 MB RAM machine to run it on as well, later today.
Mac OS X: Unix for the Rest of Us
This is the slogan that seems most apt if you consider Apple's
legacy. We can't show you any screen shots yet—partly because
we haven't taken any (and because we don't want to break any rules)—but
we promise to bring you tons of info on OS X just as soon as we
can.
What's Coming at Architosh on OS X?
A ton of stuff, to be frank. We will start with the generals and
work toward the particulars. Screen shots will be a big ticket item
and later bench marks. And we will eventually run a number of CAD
and 3D apps on it as well, including the free Cinema4D OS X beta.
