From the european / german architects point of view I can say, that bimobjects have no use for architects. Architects start with something undefined and need to be able to develop an buildingelement over the planning process to something specific based on its position within a building and only on requirements not on product specific properties.
That’s why bimobjects or similar solutions, to fix a claim, are totally useless.
The only solution can be Product data templates. One that doesn‘t understand this, doesn’t understand building design and BIM and is one a completly wrong trip.
PDT must be developed by Domains like manufacturers associations which should take into consideration the needs of the architectural design process based a requirements at different planing phases as well.
