MacCAD News: Nemetschek N.A. Expands International Reach

Architosh Press Release Report: New Portuguese Distributor Added to Roster

Columbia, Maryland (December 15, 2000)"Nemetschek North America announced today that it has added a new distributor, Tech Limits of Portugal, to its ever-increasing, list of international distributors. A relatively new market for VectorWorks and its Industry Series, TechLimits has committed to an aggressive sales strategy to further increase VectorWorks' international user base.

Richard Diehl, Nemetschek North America CEO, stated, "TechLimits has been a very active VectorWorks dealer since 1998, and we are delighted that it is now part of our international distributor network. We will work together to broaden not only VectorWorks' presence in the Portuguese market, but we hope to introduce the VectorWorks family of products there as well."

As a result of this effort, VectorWorks is a growing favorite among architects, engineers and designers in Portugal.

Jorge Matos, TechLimits - Informatica, Lda, explained that the company was founded in Cascais, Portugal in July 1997 with one precise objective; to inform CAD users in Portugal about VectorWorks and to let them experience a new, easy and powerful tool. As a result of this effort, VectorWorks is a growing favorite among architects, engineers and designers in Portugal.

He continued, "We are very proud to be the Nemetschek North America distributor for Portugal and we feel that with the introduction of the new vertical solutions integrated into VectorWorks we can largely expand the number of potential users in our country."

TechLimits offers a specialized version of VectorWorks complete with extra Tools and Commands, Templates, Standards, Workspaces, Hatches and an on-line (Help Menu) Manual in Portuguese. In addition to the free technical support, TechLimits offers its users four different training courses: 2D, 2D Advanced, 3D, and 3D Advanced.

Nemetschek North America (formerly Diehl Graphsoft) is a wholly owned subsidiary of European software giant Nemetschek AG. A global leader in design technologies, Nemetschek N.A. has developed CAD software for the personal computer since 1985. VectorWorks is one of the world's best selling CAD products and has more than 105,000 users in over 85 countries.
