Mac3D News: Onyx to port EI plugins to LightWave 6 & Maya?

An Architosh reader wrote in to us regarding a response he got from Onyx Computing regarding porting their plugins for Electric Image over to LightWave 6 and Maya for Mac OS X. According to the response:

"Dear Mr. Fellows,

We may do something to bring ONYX trees into those programs [LightWave and Maya].

Sincerely, Customer Support"

Short but sweet. Let's hope they move this effort forward, as it will be good for Maya and LightWave.

Onyx Computing are the makers of one of the leading vegetation modeling software programs. Currently Onyx Computing makes a number of Windows and some Macintosh products, in addition to Electric Image plugins (Tree Storm for Electric Image and Tree EIAS).
