Registration begins for 1999 Bentley International User Conference

28 June 99.

Bentley has announced that registration for the 1999 Bentley International User Conference is now open. The conference begins Wednesday, September 29, and runs through Friday, October 1, at the Philadelphia Marriot Hotel in Pennsylvania.

Bentley says this year's event plans to be the most exciting in Bentley's history, since it marks the first year that the Proactive Engineering Symposium and Bentley FORUM will be combined into one conference. Both of those two events are annual user forums for Bentley users.

The award-winning Proactive Engineering Symposium is the executive component of the conference. It provides an interactive environment in which to discuss the strategies needed to successfully leverage the latest information technologies.

The Bentley FORUM is the user-productivity track of the conference, offing hands-on training on all the new technologies for real-world practice. This year's keynote addresses will include a talk by Tom Peters called "You Are Your Projects". Tom Peters is a leading project-management consultant and innovator. Also up will be Kjell Nordstrom and Jonas Ridderstrale, business experts and professors from the Stockholm School of Economics, who will deliver a talk about using IT in "Building the Future Firm". Keith Bentley will also be giving a talk on the next step in the Bentley Continuum vision for engineers and architects.

Some highlight demonstrations and product releases include the release of ProjectBank products and ProjectWise project extranet technology.
