Architrion Dongle Issues on Lombard PowerBooks
Architosh reader Jose Maria Uscategui wrote in to tell us about issues with the latest Lombard PowerBook G3s. He writes: Hi, I know many architects use a Powerbook, however not many use the new 400 or 333 Mhz [models] that I am aware of. I use Architrion and I am planning on buying a 400Mhz Lombard but here's the thing: Architrion uses an ADB dongle key, and the iMate works well with it, but apparently the USB implementation on the Lombard is not working well with USB mice, keyboards and dongles, as reported today on PBZONE and O'grady's. I was wondering, and I know it's a long shot, if any of your readers has a Lombard, with the iMate (or another USB-ADB adapter) and works with Architrion 6.xx or any Dongle protected application, and has troubles similar to the ones reported on the afore mentioned sites. This is an excellent issue to bring to our attention as other applications (especially high-end rendering and animation software) use Dongles to prevent multiple machine deployment. If any reader has experience with the above issue or have already solved it, please send us a note so we can share it with our Mac friends. Thanks.
