Play's Electric Image 2.9 with Modeler Upgrade Available
Electric Image 2.9 with Modeler is now available from Play Incorporated. The upgrade price varies depending on what version of Electric Image you have. For users with broadcast version 2.8, the upgrade to 2.9 with Modeler is $275US; version 2.7.5 users will pay $325US; and customers with EIAS version 1.0 - 2.5.2 will pay $400US for the upgrade. Electric Image is a high-end 3D modeler, renderer and animation package very popular in the Hollywood and gaming industry for its broadcast quality effects. Many scenes from the latest Star Wars film, Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, were created in Electric Image. In fact, Play ported the Mac OS only application to SGI's version of UNIX used at Industrial Light and Magic. For more information on products at Play, click here.
