Diehl Graphsoft Makes the 1999 Soft Letter 100
For the second consecutive year, Diehl Graphsoft has earned a place on the Soft Letter 100, an annual ranking -- by calendar year revenues -- of the leading personal computer software developers in the nation across several categories. Reflecting its increased revenues of $6.8 million, Diehl Graphsoft moved up a notch from 94th place to 93rd. This honor is significant because it demonstrates Diehl Graphsoft's continued improvement and upward market mobility at a time when 25 software companies dropped off the list due to buyouts or poor sales. Microsoft Corporation tops this list with revenues of $16.7 billion. The Soft Letter is a leading publication for the software industry that addresses the most current trends in an industry that, this year, was marked with "creative destruction", with 27 companies reporting zero percent growth in 1998. Soft Letter describes the market as a "volatile" industry that finds companies "floundering or simply folding". Diehl Graphsoft will continue to defy this trend with planned expansions of 30 percent in 1999 -- in response to the demand for VectorWorks since its introduction last January at Macworld Expo.
