Have you ever wanted to learn about programming for the Macintosh? Are you a programmer now or develop web applications? Are you an IT manager or webmaster for you firm and would like to know more about developer-related information, pre-release system software and other Apple software? If so, then joining the Apple Developers Connection may be for you. The Apple Developers Connection, also known as ADC, is the membership area for Apple Macintosh programming professionals, IT managers, Web developers and professionals. You can join the ADC for "free" as an Online member, pay a reduced rate as a Student member or join as either a Select, Premier or Enterprise member at a scaled cost. What are the benefits? If you are interested in learning how to program for the Mac the ADC has numerous online resources and mailings to help you get started and learn faster. In addition, as a Select or Premier member you can be apart of the Apple Seeding Program and receive prerelease versions of the Mac OS and other Apple software. This can be invaluable for testing prerelease (beta) versions of a particular OS update prior to purchasing and deploying the final OS update on your office network. Further benefits of the Select membership, which cost $500US annually are:
In addition, the Select membership is the least expensive membership which will gain you access to other reduced ADC member specials, including the Apple Mac OS Anthology DVD-ROM collection set and Mac OS X Server for only $99US, which sells at the regular rate of $499US. So if you are interested in test driving the Mac OS X Server operating system, getting a head start on Mac OS X, and learning about programming the Mac, then the Select membership is a good deal, not to mention access to prerelease software. We thought you might want to know about this.
